Been watching his videos lately. Used to not be a big fan of him because of Die Hard and thought he always came off as a douche, but he seems like a cool and down-to-earth guy and he really hit the nail on the head with Justice League and the DC universe as a whole. It's a long watch. I watched it in segments when I had time. To sum it up though with what they said, basically DC doesn't necessarily do the work (to give a good story) because they have the heroes like Batman and Superman and Wonder Woman and are basically just playing on their popularity like its enough because people love them, and they can put them in any movie and assume fans will just love 'em regardless of the story itself. Meanwhile with Marvel, when they first started out, they had Iron Man and Captain America and Thor, B to C-list characters at the time, so they had to rely on stories to try and make them interesting for the audience and it's paying off. If you have the time though, definitely watch it.

I heard he liked it. Which calls his taste into question. Well, he is working on the CW shows, so yeah, of course, he will like a DC product. However, he doesn't praise it to the high heavens or anything like that and doesn't have criticism of it |

I heard he liked it. Which calls his taste into question. Kevin Smith likes everything. For him, that's a bad review.  Can't wait for Ralph Garman to see it. He always tells it like it is.  |

This hits the nail right on the head and describes Justice League perfectly. Batman, Superman, and Wonder Woman are popular characters. The movie just relies on that instead of developing the characters at all and even trying to make them interesting.

I watched this shortly after I saw the movie. He and Marc do not hate Justice League but they do point out several valid criticisms of the film. In general Kevin Smith loves comic book movies and he likes to enjoy them. He is not a guy who goes out of his way to look for things to complain about.
