While that's a shame. It's his career but he's been doing so well. He might beat the Rock at his own game at this point, with the film roles he's been racking up. screenrant.com/dave-bautista-wwe-return/

I love the Rock but in just 3 years Bautista has joined Marvel, Bond, and this year he was in a sequel to Blade Runner while the Rock is gonna be in Jumanji 2 next month.

Bautista only had supporting roles in GotG, Spectre, and Blade Runner. The Rock is billed as a lead role in Jamanji and has had lead roles in many other movies. The Rock has also had a major role in two movies that grossed over $1 billion worldwide so that trumps the 2 GotG movies and anything else that Baustista has done.

I heard and I would love to see The Animal vs the Beast at Royal Rumble!! The last time Batista stepped into a ring with Brock Lesnar he beat him and that was back in their FCW days and we never got to see Batista vs Brock Lesnar on the main roster. From what I read we came close to getting Batista vs John Cena vs Brock Lesnar in a Triple Threat match after John Cena dropped the title to Brock Lesnar at Summer Slam a few years ago and Batista was supposed to return and win and go on to face Brock in a singles match and win again but Batista chose to focus on his movie career instead. I would also like to see Batista vs Triple H one last time which is the match Batista has been saying he wants to be his last.

The word is, he only wants to come back to go against Triple H, which is a buzzkill for me. Batista relies too much on this rivalry, when he could come back to go against guys like Brock Lesnar, Roman Reigns, Braun Strowman, etc. If he really wants another program with Triple H, then he could also wrestle Samoa Joe while he's at it. He's Triple H's Hitman, and he would definitely take up for him to fight off guys like Batista, for his reputation as "The Animal", and of course for his ongoing love loss with Triple H.
Batista could also come back to have a literal "Blockbuster" match with The Rock, judging by their comparisons on this thread. I always thought they were held to similar success in the wrestling world, and now they're more successful than anyone outside of the ring.

Bautista is the superior actor. Bautista is a terrible actor. Dwyane Johnson is much better than Bautista. Neither Sam Mendes, Werner Herzog, and Denis Villeneuve concur with your line of thinking, and I'd say their opinions carry far more weight than yours on Bautista as an actor. Bautista's not great but he's getting better and who can say in the next decade or so where his career will be at? People had doubts on The Rock back in the day but now he's one of the few actors who can sell a product by name alone - and that didn't happen overnight.

The funniest thing about this is that if they switch franchises (which is totally possible) you'd suddenly reverse your whole argument.

The Rock already had a "Blockbuster" match at WrestleMania X8 vs Hulk Hogan. Wrestling Bautista would be a downgrade for The Rock.

I wonder if DC-Fan would still hate Bautista if he hadn’t been in any MCU movie.

His match with Hulk Hogan doesn't have to be his only big dream match. In fact it wasn't, because he also came back to go against John Cena, and if the timing was right, he could've went against Batista. I think those two could find some common ground wrestling each other. Obviously The Rock is the bigger star, but Batista was kind of like the second coming of him at one time in the wrestling world, and then there's their movie careers, which would make their encounter a Generational "Blockbuster".

I like Bautista ok, but the Rock has epic charisma. I'll pretty much watch anything he is in.
I actually didn't like Bautista in GotG at first. It was on the second viewing when I finally got his acting style in that role.

Back in 2012/2013 around the time the shield came he got booed. The fandom in wrestling is intresting like shield for example people loved and now people just shit on them. Batista has an intresting career he has theatrical film credits and dtv credits(like that crappy kickboxer reboot)

It took me a second absorbing Drax to feel what Bautista was doing but I absolutely love him now. What really got me into him was learning about how much effort he put into acting classes. That's a world class move and he deserves respect for it.
