My least favorite of the Alien films (Yep, I think Alien 3 and Alien: Covenant are superior). Ripley doesn't feel like her old self at all (Yes, I know she's a clone with alien DNA and isn't supposed to be). A lot of people thought Winona Ryder was miscast. And that alien newborn creature is crap (clearly the "Jar Jar Binks" of the Alien films). Just feels like a forgettable adventure to me. At least the third movie tried some things differently. Guys like Ron Perlman and Brad Dourif can only do so much to elevate the material. Jean-Pierre Jeanuet does his best with directing, but he's no Ridley Scott, James Cameron or David Fincher. If you like the movie then that is perfectly fine. To each his own. But it's hard for me to find anything memorable about Alien: Resurrection. I mean I don't think it's a terrible film, but it just feels so forgettable.

I think I saw this, but can't remember for sure, which says it all.

It possesses some nice visuals and has some genuine creepy moments, but it's largely inferior to the movies that came before it.
Still tons better than the Alien Vs Predator films though.

I can remember Ripley torching all those previous clones and sinking the basketball, but that's all that's really memorable.

It was a botched job save for four elements:
-The score -The failed clone scene -Brad Dourif (who I've yet to see give a bad performance in anything) -Dan Hedaya's remarkable shoulder hair
I'm one of the few "Alien 3" fans (I think it is just as good as the first 2), but I can recognize 3's flaws. "Ressurection" was a dumpster fire though. I can have fun with it, but it is a rough ride. I thought "Amelie" was great and was eager to see Jeneut's take on an "Alien" movie. Swing and a miss for me. Sigourney is trying her ass off (and if I may, she's looking very good in this one), but it is just...weird. Even Ron Perlman (another actor I can't recall a bad performance from) can't save it. Maybe it's just me, but there is very little room for comedy in this series.
It had the same effect on me as a creepy, drunk uncle telling a story at the dinner table.
Clone scene was badass though. Score lived up to its predecessors as well.
