John Simon suggests that Tender Mercies (an excellent film) would be a movie he'd rather bring kids to if he had kids (how'd you like to be this bundle of joy's kid?) and Ebert says ROTJ is the type of movie Disney (I believe they were at a low point at the time) should be making.

That's the thing that bugged me the most about that guy. Yes, there is a place for dramatic films that teach kids something, but there is also a place for films like Star Wars which sparks a kids imagination and gives them a character to look up to.

Simon is the oldest of the 3 critics and is not only still alive, but I believe still writing reviews.
