Any fans of "Thriller" by Michael Jackson? How has it held up in 35 years?
Still the best-selling album of all-time if I'm not mistaken and easily Michael Jackson's best album. So many classics like "Thriller", "Billie Jean", "Beat It", and "Wanna Be Startin' Somethin". Even the album tracks are pretty solid. You also have appearances on the album by Paul McCartney and Eddie Van Halen.

Yep, Great Album.
I don't remember it the "day" it came out, but I do remember it playing on all the radio stations, and kids in my elementary school listening to the music at school and while riding the school bus. I eventually bought the album on cassette.
I remember the Thriller music video too, one of the first that I remember seeing. It played all the time on MTV, back when MTV was new. Fantastic Video. Still looks great.

I remember that video more than the album release too. I remember watching MTV just to see the video. Then they had the making of the video special that was shown from time to time too.

Beat It is the best thing he ever did. Billie Jean is up there, too. Never had much use for the title track.
I recently went through all his solo albums and his music got progressively worse from Bad onwards - the synths and drum machine are over-processed to death. The music isn't allowed to "breathe" or to sound natural.

One of the first albums I got as a kid, remember it well hearing it for the first time on my walkman, with these huge headphones all plugged in and it was like a firework right into my ears. It was some album and I probably worn out two or three copies, and a few years later it was along with two other ones part of my first CD purchase and while I have not listened to the album throughout the entire time since maybe the mid 90s, some of the tracks are almost on daily either on TV or the radio, and so I get my dose of Thriller almost weekly, either I like it or not. Billie Jean, Beat It, Thriller and some of the other cuts are most frequantly played, but even as a kid I remember that my favorite cuts was the stunning opening of Wanna Be Startin Something and the often "forgotten" number The Lady In My Life.

Terrific album. I played it relentlessly the year it came out.
Even though my two very favorite Jackson tracks appear on 'Off the Wall' ("Rock with You" and "Don't Stop 'Til You Get Enough") , I'll still say 'Thriller' is the better album because it just has a much better flow to it and nearly every song, if not all, is terrific.

Great album, although I do like Bad slightly better.
