Doesn't have to be a mainstream one either like Elf or Die Hard or Home Alone. One I remember growing up with and watching a lot was Prancer (1989). Still one of my favorites and one of my first movie dates with a girl. Wanted to watch a Christmas movie but I decided to show her something else other than the obvious ones like Elf which to me, is becoming a bit overrated these days, and I showed her Prancer, and she loved it. Got Sam Elliott in it as well. An underrated Christmas classic

Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer, Santa Claus Is Comin' to Town, and How the Grinch Stole Christmas are the ones I grew up with as a child (this was in the mid-70s).
I've loved A Christmas Story from my teen years to present.

I discovered A Christmas Story in my preteen years. Before that it was the Home Alone movies and Jingle All The Way.

White Christmas It's a Wonderful Life(unless you are Potter). I like Miracle but have grown tired of the plot.

A Christmas Story
That thing was a gem to stumble over. I remember when it basically was aired at least a dozen times in Dec, usually on TBS or something, even during the day. It just seemed so approachable. We'd also been watching The Wonder Years with its narration, so it fit that zone. I think once it became a Christmas Day marathon, it 'won'.
Rudolph was like the toy you grew up on only to quickly age right out of it pre-teens. I would gravitate my childhood viewing around that no matter what. I don't think I've watched it since the mid 90's & that was probably because I was sick & would watch cartoons if I had to.
I will say that Burl Ives' music from Rudolph remains exceptional. I've nearly every song on my iTunes Christmas playlist... including many others from film soundtracks.

Santa with Muscles. Yes, that was my favourite Christmas movie when I was a kid that wasn't Home Alone.
Also, I'll Be Home for Christmas. Looking back at it now, that movie has one terrible message, and I don't know if I'd want to watch it anymore after all these years.

Well, if we're talking "that I grew up with" as a kid, teen, that would have to be a combo of the Rankin-Bass Christmas specials and How the Grinch Stole Christmas. I was a kid and teen in the 60s and 70s.
It were just talking about stuff that we've been familiar with for a long time and watched multiple times, some favorites from the 80s/early 90s are National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation, Trading Places, Scrooged, the Nightmare Before Christmas, and the Home Alone films.

1. The Year Without a Santa Claus
I always loved this movie as a kid because of the Heat Miser and Snow Miser.
2. Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer
Great claymation and funny characters.
3. A Christmas Story
This is the obvious choice. A legendary movie all on its own, but a great Christmas movie as well.

I remember enjoying White Christmas as a child, though nowadays I find it too sentimental. The first Christmas film I saw that I still enjoy is the Lion in Winter, though I did not see it when it was released but a few years later - films in those days used to go round the cinemas for years after they were released.

If we mean movies then Santa Claus Conquers the Martians is probably the only one I paid attention to. Most of my Christmas viewing was the Charlie Brown, Grinch, Rudolph and Frosty stuff.
