I'm pretty sure Buck is getting that mantle first, although I will say there is an equally good chance they share it together. I really don't see any way Falcon gets it first if Bucky is still alive. It's why Bucky has physically held the shield in all 3 cap films and Falcon hasn't. Don't forget our bet! 😉 |

There's one Steve Rogers. Like I said pass the mantle but ultimately the original is getting it back. The characters shoudn't be rebooted. They need the legendary staus in the movies also. It's too soon. |

We could always renegotiate those names before the movie comes out too. The details were basically that Bucky would become Cap in one of the next two Avengers movies. Cap doesn't necessarily have to die. But Bucky must either be called Captain America or wear some version of the uniform. |

So you vote Buck takes on the mantle by the end credits of Avengers 4. And basically I'm saying he doesn't accept that role until a Captain America 4 film. yeah I'm good with that. |

What do you now think should and will happen the current group of characters? - Will/Should Evan's cap die and pass the torch to Bucky/Falcon/Both? I hope not because I like Chris Evans as cap and think he can still do more with the character.
- Would you like RDJ stay on and just play an aging Tony, even if it's only part time for the rest of his career. Imagine if he's still playing him in 20 years. Maybe he's given up Iron Man but he's the leader of Shield. You get to look back and see his age progression. That would be cool
Or can you actually recast him? I can see this possibility too though
- Can Thor be recast. Or does his power simply get passed on if he dies, and new character is introduced instead of being a straight up recasting? The comics has a female Thor that kicks ass, so...
- Most of the other big timers are brand new, but how about Widow and Hawkeye. Are they characters that die, do they just fade away, are they worth recasting? Can anything more be gleaned from their characters? recast or phase them out
- What if Tom Holland sticks around for 20 years as an older spiderman? Doctor Strange can work as an old man as long as Benedict wants to stick around. Chadwick can even pass the torch in 10 years to Shiri if need be. I can live with those choices
Marvel has done a great job so far, and simply extending what they've done would be the best option. Recasting could work, but there are variables with that option. For example: Iron Man; 2/3rds of the charm with that character is the casting of RDJ who plays a kind of version of himself.
