Okay, this may sound stupid or nit-picky but.... shouldn't Thor & Odin be able to regrow their eyes (or pull a Thranduil?) or are the Aesir/Asgardians actually generally not as powerful as others in the area? When Hela is getting stabbed, she just smiles, taking the sword out of her, and uses it on the person who stabbed her. When Loki got impaled, he withered and then regenerated/healed himself, got up, used his shapeshifting abilities, and went back to Asgard to take on Odin. Loki got stabbed by a bazerker type dark-elf warrior, in a blow that at least should have hit an organ or two and possibly his spine, aortic area, and maybe even had something else going on there considering how he was turning colors as if he was being drained or turned to stone. Hela should have bled to death, not to mention the damage of the wounds such as splitting her stomach or tearing through her lungs, yet it doesn't even slow her down. Considering Odin's daughter could heal from having her insides ripped through and Loki- technically a Jotun runt- could heal from what should have been a mortal wound, how come Asgard's mightiest can't heal their eyes? Is it just a matter of the eyes being too complicated? Although I would think some of the things Hela healed from wouldn't have been so much less complex and she healed pretty much instantly. I mean, I get there may be some slight difference based on what each person's powers are (i.e. Odin might be more susceptible to electric shock than Thor, for instance) although I would still think they ought to be able to repair their eyeballs. Heck, Frigga could hide the Ether from Malikithe in THE DARK WORLD (although she couldn't heal from the same wound Loki came back from), and that sounds like it would take some major magical mojo to do. Anyone else wondered about this, or perhaps knows the answer to it? Or why (esp. Odin) they don't do like Thranduil in HOBBIT and just use magic to cover it so people don't realize they are blind on the right side? On one hand, I could see the warrior's tradition to have a scar to show off, but if they could heal it and regain the sight in that eye then wouldn't it make more sense to do that for the sake of seeing your right side in battle? Not to mention the whole depth-perception thing. I just wondered how Hela recovers from this stuff, yet Frigga dies from a wound similar to one Hela got, then the fellas can't regenerate their eyeballs.

I believe in Odin's case, the loss of his eye was due to the canon that he sacrificed it to gain wisdom from some high source. That would mean he would never be able to regenerate it.

Wait wait, I don't think Loki ever actually got stabbed. That was an illusion as far as I know. I mean Thor immediately thought he was dead and didn't even consider the possibility he could live so I don't think they heal like that.

I think that despite how the humans of the MCU keep referring to the Asgardians as just "aliens", they are still in some forms demigods. They refer to themselves as such, a lot of other beings refer to themselves as such, and their powers seem to reflect this. As such, their powers seems to be relative to what kind of "gods" they are of. Loki is the god of mischief, so he can create illusions and shape shift and all. None of the other Asgardians can do that. Thor is the god of thunder. Only he can create lightning and control the weather. Hela is the god of death. That's why she can heal from pretty much any wound and create weapons of murder from thin air. No one else does what she can. We don't know enough about Odin to know what his powers are exactly.
