Look i understand that MCU fans are excited about the possible inclusion of the X-Men in the MCU, but we still haven't seen the X-Men universe from fox get a proper closer. Hell Logan left it open!
I think it would be in bad taste to not give us closer.

That's what Dark Phoenix is for. It's the new X3 which was the previous closer.

Mmm after a few mediocre films and Logan I think its best to not pay attention to X18 and reboot the whole sjabang in 2021 in phase 4 of the MCU.

That's what Dark Phoenix is for. It's the new X3 which was the previous closer. Just have Sansa Stark kill everybody off probably. |

I'm actually more interested in Surfer, Doom, Annihilus, Galaxtus, Kang, etc. They can keep the x-men in a separate rebooted continuity as far as I'm concerned.
But, even so, I don't know what a proper closing would even be. The X-men continuity has been all over the map and there's no through story, so what would represent a conclusion?

Easy, just explain that eventually Mutants rise up and kill all Humans.
But because Mutants ARE just like Humans, once they no longer have an external enemy they all turn on one another. And because they're more destructive than normal humans they destroy themselves and all life on Earth.
X-Men, the end.
