How much do you disagree with my top 10 American sitcoms made after the year 2000 ?
1. Parks and Recreation ( 2009-2015 )
2. 30 Rock ( 2006-2013 )
3. Brooklyn Nine-Nine ( 2013-)

1. Arrested Development - easily the best comedy since Seinfeld
2. 30 Rock - early seasons the best
3. The Middle - I think time will be much kinder to this show than Modern Family
4. Archer - crude and vulgar and hilarious
5. The Goldbergs
6. The Big Bang Theory - almost forgot this one because I lost interest right at the time Sheldon's love interest showed up
Special mention to Miss Guided starring Judy Greer, a very short-lived 2008 series but still better than most

I've only seen half of your list, but I like those shows. I've heard good things about Arrested Development. Haven't gotten around to watching it yet. Most of the comedies I regularly watch are adult cartoons (South Park, Futurama, etc.)

Well, in all fairness, I have only seen a total of about five episodes. I have no idea what season they were from, but they were terrible. |

I agree, it has been dumb the past few seasons, but the first 5 seasons were great. Well, in all fairness, I have only seen a total of about five episodes. I have no idea what season they were from, but they were terrible. As the show has more than 200 episodes i don`t think you should judge it based on 5 episodes. I mean Cheers and Frasier are to of the best sitcoms ever ( in my opinion ) but i am sure i can find 5 terrible episodes in both those shows. And no i am not saying The Big Bang Theory is in the same league as Cheers and Frasier. |

Red dwarf ( yeah, started in 1987 but still going strong today)
There is very little in terms of quality comedy television. nothing makes you think anymore and that's sad.
I don't see the humor in teenagers getting pregnant and having their parents (who barely have their own lives together) drop everything and take care of that kid.

The characters were not funny and the jokes were not funny at all. I can watch ANY episode of a show like Seinfeld, Arrested Development, South Park, Curb Your Enthusiasm, etc. and laugh. Even at their worst, they have funny moments and good characters. The Big Bang Theory has neither. |
