This is why they should just reboot the MCU so there will be no issues I'm not sure a full reboot is the answer, as that would ruin all the hard work they've done so far.
Maybe some kind of timeline alteration/reality-merger where it's made clear all the important stuff happened.

He's the only decent villain the X-Men have, though. Sinister is actually a pretty bad villain, Apocalypse is just bland, Mastermold could work but we've had enough of killer robots for a while... IDK, I mean they've got a long list of people they can find something new and interesting to mine right? They could rework Mastermind, the Vanisher, Unus or Mimic. It worked for the Vulture. The X-Men also fight amongst themselves just as much as they do with bad guys. The Avengers wouldn't be out of the question either. |

I'd 100% be down for completely new things, obscure villains, the works. I suspect they'll start with the original team, mostly because it still hasn't really been done, and if they run off a bunch of uncovered stories, it could be extremely good. Maybe built up to a true Apocalypse. Maybe even do the Alt reality version of it. |

Kevin Feige has gone on record stating that Magneto is one of his all time favorite villain.
If Disney does get the X-Men back, you bet your ass that Magneto will be used.
