Average your rating out of 10 for all of the films in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, the DC Extended Universe, and the X-Men Universe to determine which one you give the highest average to.
Here's what I got:
1) XMU: 6.9/10
2) MCU: 6.7/10
3) DCEU: 5.4/10

Interesting idea. I still have to see multiple X-Men movies and I'm not sure about the DCEU yet. If I only use whole grades I get an 6.8 as average for the MCU, which is pretty good. The highest grades go to Winter Solider & The Avengers (9/10) and the lowest is for Iron Man 2 (4/10). Out of the 15 MCU movies I've seen (haven't seen The Incredible Hulk & Thor: Ragnarok yet) I like 11 (6/10 or higher) and I love 6 of them (8/10 or higher). I've revised many of my grades recently which is why the average is 'only' a 6.8, but considering the average grade I give to movies, which is a 6.3, I'd say a 6.8 average of 15 movies is pretty solid. If I split it up into the phases I get:
*Phase 1: 6.8
*Phase 2: 6.3
*Phase 3: 7.5 (clearly my favorite phase so far)

Its a no contest. The worst 3 Xmen films are much better and enjoyable than the worst 3 MCU + DCEU films.

Some even within the franchise in question, you have to enjoy more than another. Of course. Regarding the MCU there is only 1 that I rarely go back to, and I don't consider it a bad film. There are quite a few that I would consider truly top end comicbook films and the rest are all great. |

For me there are two ways to answer this. The average score of the films, and then the series as an accomplishment.
Series as a Whole:
1. MCU (10) - This is the greatest cinematic achievement of all time. Nobody is ever doing a cinematic universe better. 2. XMU (6) - Some good films, but no real vision. I was very interested during X1/X2, FC got me curious, but I've not cared since. 3. DCU (3) - It's just an embarrassing franchise and a poor desperate attempt
Average Score of the Films:
1. MCU (8.5) - Pretty damn good overall, some world class, some good, and a lot of fun and detail 2. XMU (7) - There are some good films in here that are better than their sum 3. DCU (4.5) - Only based on the three films I've seen WW 7, MOS 4, SS 3. Complete bores with terrible writing and a terrible vision. I have no interest in wasting my time with the other 2, and certainly not with any more.
