It starts with slow melancholy whistling by a man, then a funky saxophone plays and the song remains a mid tempo funky 70s beat with a male singer. The singer sounds a little like Peter Frampton. At the end of the song everything stops and the slow whistling returns and fades out. Can anybody help identify this classic rock song?

The saxophone sounds a little like "Pick Up the Pieces" but much slower and less notes.

Not the exact beginning (which is piano), but could you mean this?

Not the exact beginning (which is piano), but could you mean this? YES! Thank you! I can't believe I never recognized Billy Joel's voice all this time. Cheers for this.
