That would be amazing, but unfortunately Fox will get to screw up that story again. Lest we fall for this revisionist history stuff that Fox was amazing with the X-men. No...they were not. The damage they are doing to the Dark Phoenix saga will take decades to repair. You haven’t been following the news on the film have you? Because the plot synopsis sounds a lot like the original. Where's Mastermind? Where's the Hellfire Club? Where's the first Phoenix Saga where we get to see her as a good guy throughout so it's more meaningful when she goes bad? |

We saw her as a good guy in X1, X2, and XA. Based on interviews her going bad will be meaningful because of X3. |

This is like if they went right to Civil War right after Avengers...like what DC tried to do.

It wouldn't be cancelled, they've already filmed it to completion a c purple months ago. The money has been spent now. It says MCU wants to scrap it anyway. X-Men: Dark Phoenix = CancelledX-Men: Dark Phoenix finished shooting not too long ago and while the movie was recently the subject of an Entertainment Weekly cover story, it's entirely possible Disney will just scrap it and that it will never see the light of day. That may seem like a tremendous waste of money but the post-production process has only just started and the studio might be happier doing that After all, if the presence of mutants is first going to be teased in Avengers 4, Marvel Studios won't want X-Men: Dark Phoenix hitting theaters five months beforehand, confusing people as to what comes next for the heroes. Name a time in history where this ever happened to a movie that got that much press in the media. |
