Clearly JJ and Rian had two different visions on how the story should go, i now understand how Colin could not write a satisfying conclusion

She's just a figurehead. Disney's executive board is in charge.
On Spielberg movies she hardly did anything. Frank Marshall did most of it.

Clearly JJ and Rian had two different visions on how the story should go, i now understand how Colin could not write a satisfying conclusion It only looks like Abrams and Johnson had 2 different visions on the surface. If JJ Abrams had written TLJ it would've turned out mostly the same way. In other words, Abrams would've ended the mystery questions of characters with no answers like Rian did (or he would've pushed it back to episode 9 and then done it). Abrams would've killed off a bunch of characters like Luke, Snoke, Ackbar in the same manner Rian did (or push it back to episode 9 and done it). Rian Johnson was brought in for 2 reasons and 2 reasons only. First to make the story of TLJ look and feel more original than TFA. And second, to take responsibility for handling the writing of the Luke Skywalker character and eventually permanently get him out of the way of Rey. Because Abrams was too big of a coward to do it in TFA. Which is why he kept rewriting the screenplay until he eventually put Luke in the now famous cameo at the end of TFA. Johnson is just being the fall guy for stuff Abrams was going to do anyway, or was too big of a coward to do himself. Abrams is not going to answer any questions left over in episode 9. He will likely kill off more significant characters in insignificant ways. And he will rehash the heck out of ROTJ. Then Jar Jar Abrams will disappear out of filmmaking for awhile til angry fans cool off and forget his disgusting formulas of filmmaking. Only to reemerge at a future time to do the same things for some greedy "play it safe" movie studios.

Disney knew that not just killing off Luke but disgracing him and retconning his entire OT arc was the only way their bullshit Rey story could, in their view, reach maximum SJW/Mary Sue potential. So they hired Johnson to assassinate the (moral) character of Luke for two hours and then kill his corporeal form at the end, and his own sister barely gives a shit within MINUTES of his death. "We have everything we need: gurl power!!!1" Disney/Johnson couldn't have been more transparent. And for doing their dirty work in what they consider to be a "subtle" way (as opposed to Rey just physically throwing Luke off the cliff at the end of TFA as you know KK would've liked) they're going to reward their miserable little hack minion with "his" "own" "original" "trilogy." Disgusting. I've seen more class and compassion from the Nazis.

They wouldn't listen, and applauded him for "restoring" the "true" Star Wars.
