Divisional round, NFC title game at best; love the roster but they're too inexperienced to reach a Bowl just yet. When was the last time a rookie head coach went to the Super Bowl with a second year QB?
(Someone's about to tell me it happened really recently, like this decade, and I'm gonna look dumb.)

I pretty much agree with this, I don’t think they are a Super Bowl caliber team just yet. They have no playoff experience, I also don’t think they have enough weapons for Goff to throw to and their secondary isn’t that reliable IMO. If I had to pick who I think is going to the Super Bowl from the NFC, I would say the Vikings, I really like their team. But I also wouldn’t count out Eagles, Saints or Falcons. I’m not sold on the Panthers, they seem too streaky and erratic but they can be very explosive so I wouldn’t count them out either, hell I wouldn’t count the Rams completely out. About rookie coaches and second year QB’s, I can’t remember that combination ever making a Super Bowl but I could be wrong. Russell Wilson and Ben Roethlisberger won the Super Bowl in their second year, and only 2 coaches have won it in their first year as an NFL head coach, George Seifert and Don McCafferty. Last rookie head coach to make the Super Bowl was Jim Caldwell in 2009 I believe.

They could win it all.
Be a terrific story - especially for Goff.
Wouldn't mind seeing it.

It's inevitable that they upset the Vikings in the playoffs. (Sorry, marsexplorer.)

I still think the Eagles have to be the favorites in the NFC. They will have homefield and a bye week. Their defense has not been as good lately, but they were on a three game road trip and Foles looks like he will fill in nicely.

Oh, you mean the defense isn't as good as when they were playing the likes of CJ Beathard, Brock Osweiler, an out of form Dak Prescott, and Mitch Trubisky? That isn't exactly shocking news. They've been playing some real offenses lately (well, and the Giants), and I strongly suspect they'll be playing such in the playoffs too. We'll see if Nick Foles can put up the 40+ points necessary to beat teams like the Rams.

I am so sick of that 'haven't played anyone' talk. Look at any team's schedule at this point of the season. The Giants went up 20-7, then the Eagles only gave up 9 points the rest of the game. They have maybe the best front 7 in the NFL and that is with a slew of injuries. Give me a break.

When did I say they haven't played anyone? You just seem surprised that the defense "isn't playing well lately" which is actually the result of playing real offenses unlike that middle of the season stretch that you're comparing their current play to.

The Rams lost their Pro Bowl kicker Zuerlein to a herniated disc. Perhaps the best special team unit in the league just got weaker.
