The idiots who say this is worse than Phantom Menace are an embarrassment. They represent the worst, most childish and juvenile element of the Star Wars fanbase, the sort of people who make me hesitate to identify as a Star Wars fan. I'm impressed by the persuasive nature of your argumentative adhoms and anger issues. Usually, these are mere projections. Maybe you should go home and rethink your life.

And leave those deathsticks behind... Oh, I did do away with those some years ago. All it takes is the will to quit, deathstick replacement drugs/med devices and to pull some Jedi mind trick on oneself. If the Force wills it, it's the easiest thing in the word.

(great analogy to cigarettes NOT) Well, I misappropriated the Death Sticks as nicotine cigarettes for my very purposes, but in lore these are illegal narcotics. The active ingredient Cilona works like earthly LSD, thus producing a twisted version of reality enhanced by bright colors. starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Death_stick/Legends

Why is this in Legends?

Still more believable than Leia flying in outer space. And at least TPM had Quigon, Obi Wan and Darth Maul who were all awesome characters that redeemed it. Plus as silly as the thought of being born of a midicholrian father, at least it made more sense than Rey being a nobody born of nobodies. You mean the ten minutes Darth Maul actually appeared in the movie, and the two hours of that fish thing? I know right? Those 10 minutes of Darth Maul made him a much better and more memorable villain than 2 movies worth of Kylo Ren.

He is the only one with actual depth. What did Darth Maul have at all besides that he looked cool?

What did Vader even start? Wasn't he just following Palpatine after crossing a line to save his wife, whom he inadvertently kills in the process?? Why doesn't he confront the fact that Anakin overcame his dark side?

Why doesn't he confront the fact that Anakin overcame his dark side? He is an immature child through most of the first two movies until he kills Snoke. He is emotionally conflicted and makes dumb decisions. He is a flawed character who also happened to be acted well. That is why I liked him. He is totally different than other traditional villains and it makes him interesting.

If it isn't motivation, it's simply his emotional conflict due to...? Why is he conflicted? Why is this confusion even interesting?

He is the only one with actual depth. What did Darth Maul have at all besides that he looked cool? Well he's definitely the most conflicted. That doesn't necessarily make him the best villain. You can make an argument for him being a more interesting character than Darth Maul, but as far as villains go he's weaksauce. He's not intimidating, he's not strong willed, he's not excessively skilled, he's not exactly smart, he's not conniving, he doesn't win, heck... he's actually quite a pathetic villain. Interesting character, pathetic villain.

Interesting character, pathetic villain. I actually agree with most of this, but that is what makes him so interesting to me. He does not follow the common villain tropes. I could also argue that he is strong and powerful. He was very injured when he fought Rey and she seems to be all powerful anyway for some reason. I feel like Kylo could take Maul one on one.

That's where it ranks for me, even though the more I think about it the more flaws I see. Oh yeah it has flaws. All of them has flaws. But Star Wars is more than the sum of the parts, at least for me. I agree.
