Better Kobe was #8 because he seemed less of a whore.

I reckon #24, but when exactly was it that he switched jersey numbers, out of curiosity? I remember when the story broke on ESPN, but can’t remember the year.

For the 2007-8 season. www.espn.com/nba/news/story?id=2421874Kobe finally said he prefers 24 because of how much tougher things were for him then.

So that means he must’ve had those 62-point and 82-point games when he was still #8.

Oh, yeah, sorry—he did score 81 points, not 82. My memory must have either evened it out or I mixed it up with the amount of standard games played in the regular season.

Oh, yeah, sorry, it was 61 & 81. My memory must have evened it out. Edited - several of his 2007 60 point games were in #8 in the 06-07 season.
