For me I have to say 1951 A Christmas Carol is the best film.
But for Ebeneezer Scrooge I like Michael Caine the best.

No, the magical MGM 1938 version is the best movie version of A Christmas Carol

A Muppet Christmas Carol (1992) remains my firm favourite adaptation of the tale and Michael Caine my favourite Scrooge.
Honourable Mention to Patrick Stewart, who played the part superbly in A Christmas Carol (1999).

The best versions for me are the 1951 and 1984 versions starring Alistair Simm and George C. Scott respectively.

For what it's worth ... there are also some silent versions available on YouTube that are interesting to look at.

The animated 2009 version is my favorite, but I also love the 1984 one with George C. Scott.

1951 ...my #41 all time.
Fun trivia: Peter Bull plays opposite Sim in the 1951 version... & opposite Scott in Dr. Strangelove.

Alastair Sim is my favourite but George C. Scott is also great fun.
Michael Caine is perfectly cast as Scrooge but I do find the Muppets version, while enjoyable, is hobbled by too many terrible songs.

The Oscar winning 1971 animated short and the George C. Scott versions are my two favorites.

I love them all (except for Scrooged), but by far my favorite is the musical with Albert Finney, thank you very much, thank you very much, that's the nicest thing that anyone's ever done for me.

I just watched Disney's Mickey's Christmas Carol and it's pretty good. Very short but they managed to get a lot into it.
And some genuinely funny moments. Some nice animation, too.
