First of three new episodes on Monday night at 10pm.
I thought it was great. Can't wait for Tuesday and Wednesday!
Wonder if Papa Lazarou will show up!

I'd rather eat my own vomit. Possibly even yours. So that's a no. Eh?! I thought it'd be right up your street! It's brill!

Funnily (or to be precise, not funnily) enough, I was discussing IRL only last week how much I loathed it at the time, and would not therefore be watching the new shows. My taste in comedy has never been terribly modern. Did you enjoy Detectorists? Nice, gentle comedy - though I reckon some of its real fans get carried away with how good it really is.

I like Detectorists. Is it amazingly funny? Nope. But I enjoy it all the same. It has a charm to it and chemistry that most shows don't have. Not sure if I've ever seen League of Gentleman, doesn't really look like my kinda thing, maybe I'll give it a go one day. I have a feeling I might have seen an episode once and not liked it, but not sure.

I enjoyed the tranny jokes about tranny jokes no longer being acceptable but still technically being a tranny joke... but that aside, I didn't really see the point.

Apparently the funniest line was:
"Ross bummed Pauline"
Which I assume was something Mickey said after finding out that Ross bummed Pauline in series three just before Pauline and Mickey got married?

Glorious gentleness, with genuine pathos.

i was annoyed with the cliche ending to the dete tirists though. as if the two had something fundamently missing that was resolved in the way 99% of things are resolved in this day and age(in film , etc)....
for such an original premise and styling yet at the same time so real at the same time it wound me up. but then i pick at things a bit too much.
