I hear people say it's good so usually for that means it will be not good. Everytime something I think will be good will turn out not to be good once I watch it. Besides I don't think television works very well when it's like a whole connected thing like an 18 hour long movie like the new twin peaks was. Or breaking bad, same thing. Like they go ahead and take a t.v. series and make it into a really long film, like, is that actually supposed to be two things that mix? I don't see how.

Nice logic bro. I guess try watching shows people say are not good instead?

Many shows today, especially Netflix but elsewhere, are becoming just one long giant movie. Which could be useful if the overall story is fantastic, but too often it makes the episodes indistinguishable from one another. I suppose it pleases people who like to binge watch, but not all of us do.

What is the point of this thread? So maybe you should only watch shows that are supposed to be terrible? Here are some new shows you can watch then:
The Bastard Executioner The Big Bang Theory Arrow (Do not watch the first two seasons. Start with season 3) Iron Fist
Check these out. You might love them.

It is rather common to dislike things youve heard about beforehand. Either most people have their expectations too high or theres a part of people that want to be counter to the norm so badly they will nitpick to be different.

For me it's hard to watch things that have been so highly praised because most of the time I'm disappointed. People greatly over exaggerate how good shows are these days. Shows are either the best show ever made or the worst show ever made, there's no in between. It's difficult to be objective when your watching anything people call "the greatest show ever made" because if you end up not liking it, or even just thinking it's average, you might end up being overcritical to the point where you're almost bashing the show.
As for Stranger Things, I liked the first season, but thought the second season was lackluster.

It was okay, it drags in a lot of places. The things that save it are they nailed the 80s and the four young actors are superb.

Ya and furthermore: Imo, They take the sensibilities and plot structure of a two hour long film, and apply that to a television series. And I don't think those two things quite work? That's just kinda how I feel about it.

Stranger things is still episodic, not like a movie spread out really long and just chopped up in 1 hour pieces, at least not nearly as much as some of the other poorer web based series products out there, IMHO. I do agree that each season is also contained as one bigger story though and there are plenty of cliff hangers to get you to want to binge watch it though.
