So why is it BS (according to you)? At least in the other bulshit scene of ROTS, where PAdme "dies of a broken heart" HAHAHA I can't even right this with a straight face, they could inject her with some magical force symbiotes to saver her life, or try? Fuck, if they actually said in ROTS, these kids have a midi clorian count that is of the charts, but fucking nothing until today. Padme died because "she lost the will to live", not of a broken heart. Her entire world fell apart, "democracy dies with thunderous applause".
IMO it was cheesy with Padme, but it conveyed the point: Anakin actions caused the very things he feared most and wished to prevent, ie losing those he loved and swore to protect.

On that we agree! Anakin ultimately lost everything he was fighting for. But they could have used a less cheesy explanantion, he did choke her... Anyway, you said the best scene was in the opera and i agree, but in ROTS i also loved the eerie "connection" between Padme and Anakin just before he rushed to stop MAce Windu.

No i Undestood they were a vessel from the beginning, don't worry. I never thaught they were actually the force. Just a Bullshit excuse to some people to have it and some don't. And it is bullshit. I guess it's true that some fans eat this shit up without question. "Georgie said that!" Georgie tried to save face that's it. But like i said even if it's Bullcrap i ate that shit up as not to ruin the rest of the saga. It must be a great coincidence that they are never mentioned again for the rest of the fucking saga. Nothing, ever again. Bullshit!Oh i guess they neeeeever thought of experimenting further with the so called force symbiotes, i don't know to create stronger force users NOOOOO. Bulshit! In the opera scene (inarguably one of the best scene in the Saga if not in SciFi fantasy).
Best scene in the saga. Also, I'd go further than scifi. That scene holds up against great scenes in great dramas. It was remarkably performed by Ian. That little sneer/chuckle and that look in his eyes when he says, "Ironic..." still gives me chills.

Uhh, no. Actually it isn't. UUUUh yes it is... It was explained that way because of the backlash of the fans. Separate my ass! George Lucas had to explain in a manner that the fans would swallow it like they always do. I DID. But it's still proper and utter BULLSHIT! It was allegorical, so it is was over some fans' heads.

That little sneer/chuckle and that look in his eyes when he says, "Ironic..." still gives me chills. Yes, outstanding each time I see it, and it can be interpreted in so many ways. For me the chilly "ironic" thing is that Palps while sneering will find a similar end like Plagueis, killed by his apprentice while completely underestimating what motivates him. So we can sneer at him, and someone might sneer at us above.

...for showing me the true meaning of the Force! It wasn't balance between the the Light side and the Dark side. It was wasn't millenniums of history of the Jedi and the Sith. It wasn't the Chosen One. It wasn't MaRey Sue. It wasn't the saga of the Skywalker family. It wasn't "a long time ago in a galaxy far, far away..." It was Carrie Poppins! The mystery is solved! Join me in the enlightenment! Dude... I like what you're all about. ;B

Particularly over TLJ backlash and the divisive response to the film. Art imitates life imitates art.

Like what they call the millennium falcon. You're such a sith... The allegory tells us that there are people trapped in a cave and can only see shadows in the wall believe that their existence and what they are seeing is the real world because it's what they always known. Then they go outside and... Read it is very good. But I'm pretty sure that's on the republic.

Read about half of it on a vacation and accidentally left it on the plane. Then I started reading MA's Meditations immediately after. I wanted to move on to some regular fiction after that, so I took my new copy of Republic to work and figured, I'll read it during lunch. People kept bothering me with work stuff, so I could never get into it. Plus, I wish I hadn't already read Utopia, because I enjoyed that so much More and just didn't have the inspiration to go back to Republic. But I will (not to mention the other 100 classics waiting to be read on my shelf) now that my SW craze is sadly coming to an end.

Particularly over TLJ backlash and the divisive response to the film. Art imitates life imitates art. It's a win/win/win for him when you think about it. A quarter of the fans left due to "rehash" after TFA. Another quarter are leaving after TLJ because they don't like the story direction/character development. Not only is this reinventing the legend of his creativity - after it had become much-aligned after the PT - but it's retroactively making the PT look better and better. And then the absolute for-the-win win is that even while half the original fan base (or more) will blame Disney for ruining Star Wars, it was Lucas who sold out for a kajillion dollars and it is Lucas who continues to reap the financial benefit of these "failures." (I put failures in quotes because by industry standards, these Disney Wars movies will continue to make a shitload of money for years to come.)
