That they are putting out the FEBRUARY 14th CANDY on DECEMBER 24th was the actual point of my little rant.

All mass marketed "best by three years from now" pretty tasteless sweet stuff .... so no. It's the pushing the season so that Valentines now overlaps Christmas even before Christmas. It's the principle of the thing ! RantRantRant

Yeah, I had to rush out on Christmas Eve and buy a little candy for someone, and I spotted the Valentine's Day cookies already on display. Good luck to whoever buys those and tries eating them after they're over a month old.
A nice surprise, though, was turning on the car radio this afternoon and finding a station that was still playing Christmas songs, five days after Christmas Day. That's the first time I ever heard a station playing holiday music any day after Christmas Day; I wish more stations did this between Christmas and New Year's Day, instead of playing Christmas songs from early November until Christmas Day evening and then going back to regular music.

Easter decorations and candy are now on the shelves in the major stores.
Including those truly " meaning and true spirit of the holiday" little animals that poop jelly beans.

I'm still eating turkey...from Thanksgiving! Your Thanksgiving or ours ?
I always freeze most of the turkey and wind up having sandwiches etc the following summer.

Except for last year, when I got a calendar as a gift, I've waited for them to be 50% off before buying one. Thanks to the weather, it might be almost six days after the ball dropped before I get one.

It's never going to stop at this point, so might as well find something more important to stress about.
