Stocks fell and revenue ground almost to a fault after Chad stepped down as CEO? Why? I'm not entirely clear what all went down with Chad stepping down and Kate and Andre's sham marriage for Kate to become CEO; was it because of the stuff that went down with Deimos' death? A scandal for Dimera, I suppose, having the CEO sort of, maybe under suspicion for murder, but hardly any revenue? Come on, they obviously sell products of some sort. They can't just be buying other companies, surely they make something?
I really just wish they'd stop trying to make business intrigue a thing on this show, especially when they can't do it well enough to make it interesting or relatable enough to care; or put enough investment into it to be taken seriously. All of these major, publicly operating, globe spanning corporations all work from their homes, dominated by family members with little to no experience, and you never see any other employee.
Don't get me wrong, the nepotism isn't impossible, but even that they could play a little more closer to reality and own the fact that none of these characters have earned their position; and probably aren't competent in fulfilling them either. Beyond that though, why should we care who buys Gabi Chic? We haven't even seen her do anything with that business to actually demonstrate it's value; they just say it's successful and then two other companies start a bidding war over it... In one of their living rooms... My second thought when Eve barged into the Dimera mansion to convince Gabi not to sign (after thinking yet again that Chad and Abby need better locks) is that, this is why you don't do this sort of business at home, you do it in an office; where the competition is less likely to intrude....
