Looking ONLY at movies I have seen for the first time between Jan 1st 2017 through Dec 31st 2017, regardless of movies release year, it boils down to the following movies...
1)Shot Caller (2017) - 7.5-8/10 (July 27th 2017) (within my Top 105 movies and is my #1 movie of anything released in the 2016 or 2017 time frame.)
the rest are only 6-6.5/10 range below (in no order)...
-Nocturnal Animals (2016) (Jan 30th 2017)
-Camille 2000 (1969) (Apr 3rd-4th 2017(mostly 4th))
-American Made (2017) (Oct 13th 2017)
NOTE: I am only listing movies I scored a 6-6.5/10 or higher above which makes the above movies within my Top 246 movies at the minimum simply because there is only 246 movies I gave a 6-6.5/10 or higher. also, I have only seen each of those movies listed above once so far but ill probably end up re-watching them before this year is finished or no later than next year.
p.s. I have seen a total of 223 movies between Jan 1st-Dec 31st 2017. 140(62.8%) were first time viewings and 83(37.2%) were re-watches. so given the topic, you basically only have 6 out of the 140 movies that scored a 6-6.5/10 or higher which is only 4.3% of ALL movies I have seen for the first time between Jan 1st through Dec 31st 2017.
