Now I finally know where your avatar comes from, stefancrosscoe. I only wished I could wear shades as cool and laid back as Christopher Lee. But somehow, shades and hats or baseball caps and such, always tend to look goofy when I try them on. Cannot think of one picture or memory, where it fitted well with my head/face, instead just looked "alien".

The Matrix (1999). God damn, Carrie-Anne looked fine as hell in that suit, and I remember very well that scene, due to my older cousin having "legally" downloaded it onto his computer during early winter 2000, and while visiting, that part with Carrie Moss struck me the most, as it was bad ass, sexy and very exciting. Took me a couple of weeks later on, before I got a hold of the VHS and saw the entire film, about 3-4 times within a weekend. One of those films I loved very much from the first go, but have not seen for almost 20 years. Not sure why, but I guess over time, a small part of me is kind of "afraid" another visit might be a complete letdown, as I do sadly remember how little I got out of the two later films, and those I have not much interest of re-watching anytime soon. However, things might have changed since 2003, and then there is the latest one, which I have yet to see as well.

Bad Moon While the film is so-so in quality, I have always been rather fond of it, due to the soundtrack/atmosphere and having such a badass werewolf/anti-hero in the family dog Thor. But while the CGI transformation was kind of crappy, compared to what we often were spoiled with during the 80s and similar werewolf horror films, I thought the facial and body structure of the Bad Moon wolf, was both really evil and menacing looking, and up there with some of the most memorable ones, at least of the 90s and 00s.

However, things might have changed since 2003, and then there is the latest one, which I have yet to see as well. Yes, Carrie-Anne Moss did indeed look great in that costume and she kicked serious arse as Trinity (though was done a major disservice in the third film). The first film, to me, is the only truly 'great' one of the franchise. I rewatched the two sequels (Reloaded and Revolutions) on TV a year or two ago, I think, just to check whether they were as average as I remembered...and I'm afraid to confirm that, imho, they are still very disappointing films. They replayed them on TV here yet again when I most recently rewatched the first one (for the umpteenth time), but I didn't bother rewatching those two again. I got the fourth film on Blu-ray, hoping it'd be an improvement over the last two, but sadly there was little I enjoyed about it. Still, the first one holds up incredibly well, so don't be afraid to revisit it. Personally, I'd just stop there. As far as I'm concerned, it's the only one of any worth and I feel more satisfied pretending the ones that came after it don't exist.
