If so, would an Avengers movie work without the original cast?
If not, what would the big "team up" movies be?
Personally I think "phase 4" should downplay the whole "build up to a team up movie" thing and just do solo movies that share a universe with each other.

There'll probably will be, but it won't have the original lineup.
Kevin Feige has said that Avengers 4 is going to be the end to the original cast (well at least most of them).
If Avengers 5 happens I can see Captain Marvel leading the team.

What I meant is, they'll take more time to build up to Avengers 5 so everyone can get used to the new guys. |
