While I enjoy SOME of the MCU films (and can't blame Mr Gunn for sticking up for them) , they are hardly "thought provoking" lol. I don't think Mr. Gunn explicitly stated that Marvel films are thought provoking. Yeah you're right, he's probably talking about Nolan films!  |

BTW, I'm already tired of this straw man assertion that only superhero movies are made today. There are many many movies being made in virtually every genre. The number of superhero movies don't even come close to the number of westerns made in any given year in the 1950's for just one example. Indeed, same. |

Others have said the same though. James Caan said he was glad he was an actor in the 70s and not now. Clint Eastwood said he was glad he wasn't a young actor with only superheroes to portray. BTW he said his favorite character is the Sub-Mariner. Right, it was so much better when there was only gunfighters to play. Its not about been old fashioned. the genre lost a lot of credibility once the MCU movies started over saturating the genre with the marvel formula. comic films have been around since the 70s-80s and no film artist talked bad about it until the MCU movies came along. Clearly Gunn is upset because we all know she is describing MCU movies. |

Its not about been old fashioned. the genre lost a lot of credibility once the MCU movies started over saturating the genre with the marvel formula. comic films have been around since the 70s-80s and no film artist talked bad about it until the MCU movies came along. Clearly Gunn is upset because we all know she is describing MCU movies. MCU movies if anything benefited the genre but you wouldn't see that as you are a biased troll. Only biased morons like you think she is describing only MCU movies. |
