This is the first time Marvel Studios is creating multiple original recordings specifically for a film. As if fans weren't already eagerly anticipating the release of Marvel Studios' Black Panther next month, they now have the album for the feature film to look forward to as well.
Grammy Award-winning rapper Kendrick Lamar is set to produce Black Panther: The Album with Anthony "Top Dawg" Tiffith that will feature music from and inspired by the film, which follows King T'Challa (aka The Black Panther) and his journey to protect his nation of Wakanda from enemies and prevent a possible world war.
Lamar and Tiffith will work with Black Panther director Ryan Coogler in creating music for the film, which marks Lamar's first major motion picture involvement and the first time Marvel Studios will create multiple original recordings specifically for a film.
I've always thought Marvel should get high profile artists to do bond type themes for each of their movies... I know it's a pipe dream but, hey...
