Luke’s death. By saving Finn because she was in love with him, Rose left it to Luke to step up and create a diversion for the Resistance.
That was like Jar Jar giving power to Palpatine in the senate. She should get no lines in the next film. Give her the Jar Jar special.

Leia got Han killed by asking him to bring their murderous unstable son home to the Resistance, where they surely would've had him executed for war crimes. Rose got Luke killed because she stopped Finn from destroying the mini canon. Her message to him about fighting for what he loved, not who he hated, made no sense since that's what Finn was doing. Also, that's exactly what Holdo did shortly before.

Luke is responsible for his own death, for failing to kill Ben before becoming Supreme Leader Kylo Ren

Well, Rose was not the brightest kyber cristal, I give you that.
I mean she seemed to have a lot of issues, but her preventing Finn's sacrifice for selfish reasons thereby nearly killing both of them and dooming the surviving rebels (and indirectly killing Luke) was beyond stupid. Rose even used the distraction of the blowing-up rebel base to surprise-kiss Finn and dispense her fortune cookie wisdom.
Obviously, she did not want to lose somebody else after her sister sacrificed herself. It's her arc I guess. One of the weirdest scenes in Star Wars.

Isn't it just that Rian wanted to kill Luke via sacrifice so he had to find a cotrived way to do it?

Honestly that's pretty much what always happens through out the Star Wars mythology.
There was tons of books, video games, comic books and etcetera that featured characters similar to rose who either got someone killed or other horrible shit.

Isn't it just that Rian wanted to kill Luke via sacrifice so he had to find a cotrived way to do it? Sure in the end it's about the writing. Very contrived writing.
And for what. I mean Luke's last heroic deed is that he stalls the Empire for a few minutes but without informing anybody to use that time properly, and without knowing if there is a backdoor at all, and without knowing that anybody is picking them up back there - and they potentially run on food like chicken without vehicles through the salt untill they get caught or killed (like the horses they set free). Good that there is always a Rey who can lift mountains of stone untrained and is there just at the right second...

Luke is responsible for his own death, for failing to kill Ben before becoming Supreme Leader Kylo Ren Han is responsible for his own death by being stupid enough to try to bring his murderous, emotionally unstable son home. Leia is responsible for her death... Wait. Never mind, that "worked out", I guess... ? Luke is responsible for his death by not using Energizer batteries. Lando is still alive because he was using the bathroom that one time they were thinking about *maybe* calling him.

She should just shut the fuck up for Leia's funeral scene before Poe takes over. Fans demanded more Poe+Finn time. No one asked for Rose.

That line goes down as the worst in Star Wars history. I personally believe it's one of the best lines, but placed after the stupidest non sequitur act to back it up. The line describes Luke and Vader's actions to each other at the end of the OT. If she had stopped Finn in a similar fashion somehow in his showdown with Phasma, it would have worked wondrously.

That's the stupidest thing I've ever heard in a thread about stupid things. He was ALWAYS going to come to their aid whether or not that happened.

No, that’s not what I was saying. But the necessity to distract Kylo and the First Order would not have been so pressing had the gates maintained their integrity. Poe certainly thought that Luke was creating a distraction. Now calm down. Don’t get excited. I apologise if I insulted your precious Rose.
