no unless another director will be involved as well. A collaboration I've pined for was Scott and Paul Verhoeven. Maybe now's the time.

I doubt he'll want to direct it himself and I really doubt that Villeneuve comes back.
I wonder who he'll go after? Maybe someone like Taylor Sheridan or David Mackenzie? I wouldn't mind that at all.

How awesome would it be to get Christopher Nolan to direct it. It would honestly be a dream come true.

A trilogy that has the first movie directed by Ridley Scott in his prime, then the second movie by Villeneuve and then the third by Nolan? Yeah, that would be incredible. If he could pull off a great movie (as I'm sure he could) then we could be looking at one of the best trilogy's of all time. It's actually not all that unlikely the more I think about it. Blade Runner is one of Nolan's favorite movies. Ridley Scott is one of his main inspiration's for his career and Villeneuve is very close in style to Nolan. Not to mention that Hans Zimmer is already attached to the franchise and he's Nolan's boy. It would certainly be a bold choice. I would much prefer Nolan did a Blade Runner sequel than a 007 sequel anyway.

Just because he has an IDEA doesnt mean he has a GREENLIGHT. Especially since the last one lost 80 million!!!!!!
Most telling sentence in that article.... ......there has been no indication that the studio will move forward.
Dream on famboys.

I don't know if another Blade Runner sequel is the best idea, but if it's done by some like Nolan (however unlikely) I'd be all for it. It probably won't happen, but a Blade Runner movie by Nolan would probably be the best thing to happen to movies since, well, the Blade Runner movie by Villeneuve.

Btw I just found out Blade Runner 2049 got 8 BAFTA nominations, including Best Director for Villeneuve and this news makes me really happy. I can't remember the last time I was this invested in a movie getting awards recognition. It didn't get a Best Film nom, but that's where I hope the Oscars will come in. I really hope Blade Runner 2049 pulls a Fury Road and gets nominated for many categories at the Oscars, even if it doesn't win many. That way it'll get more attention from the many people that probably haven't seen it yet.

2049 was ok, but Alien: Covenant...that one commands a boycott of his work.

With all due respect, someone who types "because lot of peoples are..." should not criticize the ability of others to concentrate.

Hey, the first 2 flopped, let's make a third! Huh? Who cares if they flopped? They’re great movies, that’s all that matters.

How about a left field choice like Lynn Ramsey.
