This is nothing new. Devious tricks are rampant in nature.
(A) I was at a petting zoo that had a vending machine where one could buy food for the animals. A woman put in her quarter and turned the crank to get the food to drop. Before she could grab the food, a llama bit her on the shoulder. In the 1/2 second it took her to defend her shoulder, the llama grabbed the food from the vending machine.
(B) Also: There are monkeys that hang around tourist areas. If you get too close, they "steal" one of your belongings (e.g your cell phone). If you put food in front of them, they will release your belongings and take the food. They won't release your property until they get food.
(C) There are animals that pretend to be injured (e.g a broken wing) to lure predators into thinking the adult is an easy meal. After the predator is away from the offspring, the adult has a miraculous recovery.

Gad, thanks for the blast from the past, before Michael started to morph into... well, whatever. He sure did have the dance moves!

One of their most underrated songs and videos (that Bruno Mars obviously liked a lot).
