I know it's more or less the same run-of-the-mill plot as the original 24 with the Muslim terrorists, and there's most likely an American villain who's benefitting from the attacks, but the showrunners still do it in a way that it feels fresh. Corey Hawkins is certainly no Jack Bauer, but he's a fine replacement and gives a new edge to the show. It's still intense, and in this day and age right now especially with Trump, they're pretty ballsy to still actually be depicting terrorist attacks on TV, or even try to make you "care" for the terrorist like they're doing with the girl. And with the last episode with the truck bomb, it was pretty intense and keeps you on the edge of your seat. Really excited for Tony to return and hope this gets renewed for a second full 24 episode season!

I absolutely hate it. It is so cheesy and in the vain of the later seasons of 24 and not the better seasons like seasons 1-3. I was a HUGE 24 fan, but I cannot for the life of me understand how anyone can like this new one. It seriously sucks. The writing is awful.
