Marcus is much more interesting. Khan is just another guy who wants revenge, made worse by whitewashing and the fact that he's nothing like the character he's meant to be.

I think that's a problem with STID. John Harrison seemed like he would be an interesting villain character until the writers and J.J. Abrams decide to pander to fans by making him Khan.
