Yeah I ain't too keen on that. They had a villain who has the exact same costume so they've given them each their own flashy colour to separate them.
Which would have been better had Killmonger just had his own costume.

Yeah I ain't too keen on that. They had a villain who has the exact same costume so they've given them each their own flashy colour to separate them. Which would have been better had Killmonger just had his own costume. It's the exact same costume because they're both after the exact same title. The head of the Panther clan is the head of Wakanda. Uniting Wakanda under another clan would result in civil unrest. And Kilmonger does have his own costume.  |

I think according to BP lore any Wakandan can do that if they win against the reigning king in combat. I think so, maybe I’m wrong. Still why would the challenger wear the costume? Maybe T’challa is considered dead and Killmonger assumes the BP title and T’challa returns? |

Because we're getting a villain that's literally identical to the hero so they needed to add a different color to each one.
They could've at least just given his comic costume. Which technically they did, but he clearly won't be wearing it during the main battles- he'll be in the "gold" panther suit.

The Black Panther isn't wearing a disguise or a costume. It's a habit that has religious significance to the people of Wakanda. The trailers give the impression that N'Jadaka is successful (at least temporarily) in his bid to take over the throne. If that is the case, it makes sense that he'd be wearing some version of the Black Panther habit. Besides, I think the trailers are using misdirection not to spoil the film. Klaue could be the primary adversary and he and T'Challa are nothing alike. |
