In a playful way.
When it comes down to it, it's really none of my business what other people like or don't like.

No, I don't. The closest I come is I might tease one of my good friends about some movie I don't like. But they know it's just good-natured ribbing and they do the same to me. I don't actually care if someone likes something which I don't.

Only if they mock me for having the opposite view. Then it becomes a bit fun.

No, but I internally question if some people just follow the flock when it comes to the GOATs of the world. Like if someone says The Great Gatsby is the GOAT (really? I've read it, it's not) or the Beatles were the GOAT (so many people say this, do they all really believe it?) So when someone younger than 50 says Citizen Kane is the GOAT, I internally second-guess them.
I have a brother-in-law who just wants simple entertainment in a film. So a lot of action films that I find terrible, he loves. I used to rib him until he retorted one day, "most of the movies you think are great feature perverted/weird/immoral characters....I like explosions and a fast-moving story...whose inclinations do you think are better?" At which point I stopped ribbing him. He's a popcorn film guy and that doesn't make him any less a film critic than me, in fact, it makes him better because he'll watch a ton of movies I refuse to watch because I can tell already that I won't like them.

What if someone can tell you WHY that particular thing is GOAT? And not just their opinion, but rather with facts? Is your mind open enough to accept that maybe they were right and you were wrong? If someones argument is sound I'm a lot more likely to understand why think what they think.
I only ask because some things ARE GOAT, and I hate getting into it with someone who is disagreeing just because they want to go against the grain.

If someones argument is sound I'm a lot more likely to understand why think what they think. In person? Yes, of course. If you know the piece of art well enough to truly elaborate why you feel it's the GOAT and those reasons are good, critical reasons, sure. Over the internet? I fluctuate. It's pretty easy to copy/paste a dissertation on the qualities of The Great Gatsby for instance. But I don't know that it's even about being right or wrong because I'm not sure that either can be qualified. It's about whether I believe them.

It would be wrong for me to mock other people's taste in films, given I have sincerely enjoyed some truly terrible films over the years.

I'm a big fan of "you do you, I'll do me" so I try not to get on people about what they like and dislike. For instance, I would rather eat a live rat than anything with ketchup...my friends give me shit for it, but hey, they're not the ones eating it.
I did once lose my mind at my ex-girlfriend for wanting to re-watch one of the LOTR movies in the IMAX in our city (because it was a rather expensive way to fall asleep). I found them excruciatingly boring (though visually stunning and exceptionally well cast). Call me crazy, but I'd rather watch "Sharknado" than "Return of the King." To each their own.

Not really.
It's harder to understand when they hate something I love.

No. If I do that at all, it would be good-natured ribbing.

No way. It's not cool to make fun of people. Especially if you're an adult. If people do that f them, lol.

Only if they thought "The Blair Witch Project" was an excellent movie.
