I've never seen this one due to its very polarizing effect on people. I know a lot of people love it, notably YouTube reviewer, Chris Stuck-man. But there's also a lot of negatively surrounding it.
What say you?

As a human story, and as pure suspense/horror, I rate it pretty highly. As science fiction, it's....not as good.

8/10. I really enjoyed it when it first came out and upon repeat viewings. I didn't hear much about the polarization until like five, six years after its release. The only high profile personality (okay on Youtube) I heard disliking it was Doug Walker (Nostalgia Critic).

It's either a 6 or 7. I do have to rewatch it sometime. I like Stuckmann as a critic alot but an A+ seems a bit ridiculous.

8/10. It really has a great atmosphere in most scenes and I really connected with the characters. One of Shyamalan's better movies.

5/10. The script was idiotic and scientifically illiterate beyond belief, but the cast was good and it was atmospheric.

I guess I didn't analyze the hell out of it, but I enjoyed it very much. It's a perfect popcorn movie, suspense, thriller, with a human story blended into it.....10/10 If you really sit down and analyze ANY movie, you'll eventually find flaws in Casablanca, Gone with the Wind, or Dr. Zhivago. That's not what I sit down and watch a movie for. I watch it to take my mind off my everyday stresses and escape to somewhere else for a short time. This movie does that and more. If I were a paid, professional movie critic whose written words were going to influence a budding film scholar, I would look at things differently....that's my job, and I would do my best at it. But most of us aren't. We go to work and go through life dealing with our issues and stresses and once in a while, would like to escape into another realm and be entertained. This movie will do that.

7/10 It's fine. Not as good as The Sixth Sense or Unbreakable, though as far as Shyamalan has done. I still have yet to see Split.
