Never was a fan of his music, but he was definitely one of the most extreme "punk" rockers.
I mean he literally pooped on his own fans. That deserves some sort of notable mention.

Heroin definitely has a strange effect on some users.

Yeah, he was a well-known figure in the 80's punk scene. Some of his records were good/decent while others were total crap. Besides his standard gutter punk fare, GG also dabbled in country (GG Allin & the Criminal Quartet), power pop (his debut album), glam rock (Live Fast, Die Fast EP), and noise rock (Suicide Sessions). But when all is said and done, without his gross out shtick and bad reputation, he'd probably be forgotten about today.

I remember seeing him on some talk show back in the day (the Geraldo show I think). An overall sick/disturbed man. White supremacist, I believe.

I remember seeing him on some talk show back in the day (the Geraldo show I think). An overall sick/disturbed man. White supremacist, I believe. Sick and disturbed? Probably, but I suspect that some of it was an act. White supremacist? Not really. He was much more of a misanthrope. GG had a few songs with racist lyrics but he also had songs about raping women, children, animals, corpses and his own mother(!), burning down churches, spreading AIDS to as many people as possible, killing cops and random people, etc. He was into breaking taboos and pissing off as many people as possible and that included liberals as well as racists, Christians and conservatives. He knew what buttons to push. In that regard, he was a lot like Seth Putnam from AxCx - a musical troll who was always trying to offend - but probably not a bona fide racist.

His real name was Jesus Christ Allin. Pretty cool name for a punk rocker. Wonder why he used GG.
