Shirley Bassey IS the BEST singer with "Goldfinger", BUT Paul McCartney (and Wings) HAS the BEST song with "Live and Let Die".

I think Goldfinger and Skyfall are both better Bond themes than Live and Let Die. It's a decent song but kinda gimmicky and straying close to bad territory.

Went back to listen to them all. The singers (and songs) from first dozen Bond films are so much better than the latter half. My favorite song is Nobody Does it Better by Carly Simon. But I think the best singer is Rita Coolidge. But several of them are really good, it's very hard to pick just one.
By the way, the worst has to be Madonna.

Not sure of all the songs, but Nancy Sinatra is easily my favorite artist/singer of the ones listed.

I see this topic in two different ways... 1)Your favorite singer amongst those listed in general. 2)Your favorite song from the James Bond movies. because just 'straight up' vs 'making a choice strictly on the Bond movies' would likely be different for me I suspect. so I won't vote for now given that info. but with that said, my favorite James Bond songs... -Thunderball (1965) - Tom Jones (if I had to pick one song at the moment as my favorite James Bond song I would probably lean towards this one) -The Living Daylights (1987) - A-Ha -Casino Royale (2006) - Chris Cornell -Quantum of Solace (2008) - Jack White & Alicia Keys (this song grew on me as time passed) -Goldfinger (1964) - Shirley Bassey -Spectre (2015) - Sam Smith there might be a bit more but I would say those are the main ones ill list for now p.s. for people who want to hear the songs from the James Bond movies from 2008 and older this link will be of interest... James Bond 1962-2008 Songs Your favorite singer (or the one you think is the best) amongst those listed in general. That's why for Duran Duran and A-Ha I list the singer and not the band. And why I also separated Jack White and Alicia Keyes (and Paul McCartney without Wings).

I wonder why Sade never did a JB song?? Did she/they (like Jon Bon Jovi it's both her name (middle) and the name of the band she leads).
