There's a whole bunch of superhero movies again this year. What are the ones your most looking forward to?
I'd rank them as
Avengers Infinity War Black Panther Deadpool 2 Ant-man and the Wasp X-men Dark Phoenix Aquaman Venom Spider-man Into the Spider Verse

So many damn comic book movies...
I have a feeling that superhero fatigue is going to set in this year and some of these are going to flop big time.
This year could be the last hurrah for the comic book movie heyday.

This year could be the last hurrah for the comic book movie heyday. Funny thing is that is said almost every year, and the MCU films continue to flourish while it's the DCEU and Fox/Marvel films that have suffered. Almost one superhero movie doesn't perform up to par at the box office as some of the others. In 2017, it was Justice League. In 2016, it was X-Men: Apocalypse. In 2015, it was Fant4stic.

Yeah, because SEVEN $100+ million budget CBM's were released in 2008 just like this year.

I'll see all of them, most likely all in Theater. If I had to rank that's hard.
1. Infinity War 2. Black Panther 3. Deadpool 2 4. Ant-man and the Wasp 5. X-men Dark Phoenix 6. Venom 7. Aquaman 8. Spiderman into the Spiderverse
The one I'm most worried about is X-men. It is the one that for me has the potential to disappoint. Not counting the animated Spiderman movie, the movie with the lowest expectation an thus the most potential to surprise is Aquaman.

I'm excited for a handful of these this year but I'm really not kidding when I say I'm done with Marvel after Inifnity Wars Part 2.

'Infinity Wars' Cause I'll be fucked up if I don't' say it's my most anticipated of the year.
'Black Panther' Maybe? I think it might be good, maybe great. The director makes me excited.
Aquaman is actually my most anticipated superhero film of the year because we haven't seen something like it before and if done right it could be fucking amazing. And James Wan is directing.
Dead pool 2 But only if it's batshit insanity. I want a mad, insane, unhinged Deadpool film that is crazy from start to finish.
Everything else I'll probably watch online.

Even this has people stirring trouble....the only purpose of the thread is to say what movies you're looking forward to, you can't even do that.

And in 2018, it'll be Aquaman. Fixed. Honestly, i think the one that's most likely going to bust is Dark Phoenix.

Honestly, i think the one that's most likely going to bust is Dark Phoenix. I'm willing to give Fox a mulligan on the Dark Phoenix Saga. (Kind of wished we had a Phoenix Saga to begin with but oh well) We are already starting on shaky ground as Apocalypse pointing to the Phoenix as just a aspect of Jean's powers like in X3. I don't like that, but I'm ok with changes if it makes telling a good story easier. I'm less critical of tweaking the source material if it's done to tell a story more efficiently or to tell a story with the best talent you have. (Like the First Class movies lucking out with Jennifer Lawrence before she blew up and then moving Mystique to more of a central roll. Although Ms Lawrence kind of phoned it in in Apocalypse. Hopefully she ups her game in this) All tolled I really want this movie to work. With Fox's track record this could be hit or miss really hoping Dark Phoenix isn't. Deadpool could be half as good as the original and I'll still count it as a win.

If Black Panther came out in February of last year, I would have been excited out of my mind. Right now, I'm still relatively excited, but not even close to as much as I thought I'd be. I didn't like Thor: Ragnarok as much as most people last year, and I think some of that came down to superhero fatigue.
