Well, as far as I'm concerned, the nature of "self" is just an illusion\delusion. It is impermanent and what is the "self"?
As far as past life recollections go, it would all depend on the person. Most of us go around with a whirligig of thoughts running around in our heads. There is no clarity here. Peace of mind, brings peace of being. Christ would have known this and Christ would have also likely known about his own past journeys here on earth, or what the Universe had blessed him with.
Some of us may have certain fixations or affiliations with certain things and\or people and these could be related to past life experiences. Say for example, a surfer who loves the ocean, may have been a sailor in a previous life. Or a westerner who loves all things Japanese, may have been Japanese. A transsexual, may have been a female in a past life and hasn't let go of the feminine connection to the body. A close friend may have been a sibling or even parent. These things are imprints left behind.
Even your posts reincarnate. You already said this.

Yes.
Along with common sense, logic, and sanity.

Even your posts reincarnate. You already said this. That's right, because some things need to be repeated to hammer the message home. Most— like yourself—talk all this philosophical rhetoric and intellectualize to impress upon others with how much they "only" think they know. They say a lot, without saying anything. In this respect, your posts reincarnate as well. ![](https://s26.postimg.org/tek3suwt5/laugh.gif) Methinks you just react too much over one slight joke lol
