Any fans of this seminal album by U2? How has it held up after 30 years?
Not really sure what else to say that hasn't been said yet for this album. It made U2 become a superstar group. Many consider it to be U2's best album (Achtung Baby gives it some competition though). Plenty of U2 classics on it. The only songs I'm not so crazy over are "Bullet The Blue Sky", "One Tree Hill", "Exit", and "Mothers of the Disappeared". They're certainly not bad songs, but they're not timeless as the hit singles ("With or Without You", "Where The Streets Have No Name", "Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For") or strong as album songs like "Trip Through Your Wires", "In God's Country" and "Red Hill Mining Town".
So while the album is slightly flawed, it's still very good and definitely one of U2's best. Hard to believe 30 years have gone by since I remember one of my teachers back in middle school playing this album on some school days.

I like the album. I recently got a whole bunch of U2 albums that I haven't listened to yet so I can't say which is my favorite but that's a very good album

Yes!
The Joshua Tree is one of my favorite albums. I like a lot of U2 songs. "Bad" is probably #1 on my list.
I hope I get to see them, I think they're touring for the anniversary. Ah, they're probably sold out, right?
