Speaking of Jane, Natalie Portman got a easy paycheck for those films. Shame what they did to the character of Jane. This. It's almost better this way because Portman could not have seemed more apathetic/disinterested in the first flick. I didn't see the second one, so maybe she gets better in that. She didn't. They had to force a way to include her in a story that was obviously written to have a focus on asgard, but was forced to drag the Earth into it. Might be a misogynistic of me, but she should have died Thor 1. She was written to be nothing more than to be a love interest that they ran out of ideas for. Besides not every superhero needs a love interest, regardless of their sex.

Just because we don't see him go back to Earth doesn't mean he never did. He had plenty of time to go a see Jane and get dumped by her. I figured he'd need to use the bifrost to go to earth but since he didn't seem to be aware of the happenings in Asgard it seemed he hasn't been back to Asgard, so not sure how he'd use the bifrost.

Besides not every superhero needs a love interest, regardless of their sex. Because they had this idea of having central characters when the only central character should be the title character. You don't have to even bring up a character or why they aren't there. Bringing up a previous character is something for people that saw the first movie and not the actual story.

Anyone who says that Thor 3 is the worst Thor movie loses all credibility.

I admit, I haven't watched ULTRON in a while nor have I seen RAGNAROK since it bowed out in theatres, however... do we know for certain that Thor hasn't returned to Earth since ULTRON? I mean, we know he wasn't handy for CIVIL WAR, which in theory could have been happening days or hours or months before he pops in to look for papa and ends up a guest of Steven Strange. He has been gone from Asgard long enough for Loki/Odin to erect that statue and start putting on regular plays about Loki's death on the dark elf world. So, at least we know he hasn't been Home in a while - but are we sure he hadn't stopped back in on Earth for a moment? He's looking for the Stones and he had Erik at his side in the pool to bring on the vision of Asgard's destruction, so mightn't he have returned for another go at the pool or to speak with Erik for some guidance, and also see Jane one more time before going off to do more searching?
Even in ULTRON, between defeating the power-hungry AI and when we get to see Wanda, Sam, and Vision getting ready to train with Natasha and Steve, some time must have passed. For one, Wanda and Sam have new uniforms, for another everyone's wounds are healed up. Maybe Jane and Thor's break up was in there, and Thor doesn't mention it while teasing with Tony and Steve, because he's about to leave and doesn't want to leave on such a down note with his two friends/teammates. And that meant the team found out later, when Jane appeared on the cover of some rag mags, leaving a party with some new dude and they have a tweet from Darcy saying something like, "Sorry Jane but #NotThor #Lame" that has a shirtless picture of Thor attached.
