Too bad. Never read any of the 'Earthsea' novels, but I enjoyed 'The Left Hand of Darkness', and absolutely love 'The Dispossessed'...it's right up there with Alfred Bester's 'The Stars my Destination' as my favorite scifi book.
RIP

RIP indeed. Hated the miniseries but it compelled me to read the book at least.

I have never been much into science fiction or, esp. fantasy, except for Tolkien and Le Guin. Her Earthsea masterworks (beginning in 1968) about a school for wizarding and its top pupil is clearly the model for that practically unknown newer series…well, I can’t quite remember what that was about but I know it couldn’t have happened without Ursula Le Guin.
