... why all the Italian characters are played by Spanish or Latino actors? It's not a complain (there's nothing wrong with it); just curiosity.

Hadn't noticed that. Perhaps better name recognition?

I feel like Latino and Italian actors have been used interchangeably for years in Hollywood. The most famous example probably being Al Pacino, an Italian American, playing a Cuban in Scarface. Both groups of people share similar characteristics. I'm an Italian American myself and I can tell you that people in my family have been asked if they are from a Latino descent.

I'm a Chilean with Italian ancestors and I've been mistaken for an Italian by non-Italians... while Italians have mistaken me for French, Greek, etc... Considering history of hollywood why not?. What do you mean?

What do you mean? Hollywood always cast actors from other basic Ethnicities within roles as others have mentioned here, why is this different at all?.

More Latino actors in the Miami area also probably afraid Italian actors would keep finding stuff that fell off of trucks if you know what I mean.
