The trailer reeks of SJW bullshit, thanks for confirming what I suspected. People who use the term "SJW" reek of being juvenile, Trump-supporting imbeciles who don't bother to learn anything outside their comfort zone. What does your heavy handed broad strokes virtue signalling bigotry reek of I wonder? Sniff sniff. Smells like ignorance and irony.

Phoenix101 one of those is immoral so that won't change and the other is simply because certain areas of the world are more of a threat to us here in the USA than others are. so it's pretty easy to see why many are not a fan of those two. p.s. democrats call everyone "racist" for damn near anything nowadays. it's like that's there 'go to' thing when they got nothing. @jamesavalon Exactly! ; but liberals are backwards nowadays as they tend to be the ones who support a lot if immoral stuff. it's pretty easy to see that conservative values are better for the country than liberals in the long term. it's like what used to be true/right/normal is now 'bad' according to liberals. they are backwards as, God forbid they "offend" Islam and the like but it's okay to dis anyone white/Christian etc. they praise the bad and dis the good, pretty much. you can just see this is what they do nowadays as they go against what's proven here and support crap that's clearly not compatible with Christian/American standards. Islam (and the like) is just bad for America. period. that's why Trump is trying to keep certain areas of the world from coming here but yet the liberals cry 'racist', as usual. it seems like common sense to be cautious of certain areas of the world but the liberals just want to open the borders for ANYONE to come in basically (take a look at what's happening in Europe, I don't want that BS here in the USA.). they would not admit this, but this is basically what they really think. it's like they think it's a 'right' for someone to come into the country who's not a citizen but it's a privilege. so no one actually has a right to come into the country who's not a citizen. basically the countries safety has to be a higher priority than just letting damn near anyone into the country. some areas of the world are just not compatible with the USA. Islam and Christianity are opposed basically. that's why democrats are messed up nowadays as say 50-60 years ago or so republicans/democrats where probably not all that far apart but as the decades passed the democrats went off the rails basically and support all kind of immoral things like abortion/gay agenda/euthanasia etc. it's like where do liberals draw the line? ; because they clearly don't have God as there guide so if they basically make things up as they go along, which appears to be the case, there standards will inevitably decline as time passes. before you know it pedophilia might not be THAT bad for them anymore. I know that pedophilia comment sounds laughable now but as time passes I won't be surprised if that's less and less frowned upon etc because clearly the countries moral standards have decline compared to what they used to be but the liberals call it "progress". basically I suspect the country is going to get more and more divided as time passes because the further one gets away from God's standards (and into living a life of sin) the more they will basically oppose God's standards and even start to hate them and hating those is hating what's true/right. just some thoughts ![;)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/wink.png)

It certainly does not promote bestiality. It promotes sex with immortal fishmen.

I liked the film a lot because I love the fantasy world Del Toro creates. The visuals, Michael Shannon are all excellent. But you can’t get mad at anyone for thinking this film is gross because some of the scenes truly are gross.
Nothing as gross as seeing Armie Hammer giving Timothee Chalamet a blow job in Call Me By Your Name though. Just yuck.

no dude. Legally the water creature would not qualify as beast but as an intelligent, supposedly adult, species or human subspecies and would thus be granted basic rights per analogy such as having consensual intercourse with other adults of any species. At least in civilized juristictions.
Btw we have some human subspecies traces in our genes already, such as Neatherthal blood, you can see it when you look at some acting presidents.

Do you think CMBYN would be considered romantic if Chalamet's character was a woman?

The sense of mood through the cinematography, scenery, production design etc... is so incredible that the romance could be between a kangaroo and a 90 year old man and still feel romantic. Also just for clarification, there’s a lot to like in CMBYN. Chalamet just literally freaks me out.

Highly intelligent creature, sure, but an animal nonetheless. There is no way around it, the movie promoted bestiality, and the majority of people seem ok with that.

Some time ago, someone made what I thought was a joke when he said a guy broke into a Seaworld, or something like a Seaworld, and actually had sex with a female dolphin. Turns out that's what happened! I never thought about it til now but I wonder if that's where the inspiration for this film came from. Strange people, these liberals.

Yes that movie encourages people to have sex with animals. I truly believe that. By the way I’m a complete and utter moron.

Parts of that hold true. Also people comparing this to Beauty and the Beast are ridiculous. The Beast was a human person cursed in a bestial form, not a beast with some vague humanoid traits. And more to the point, Beauty never when full frontal and had sex with him in Beast form. I guess if she had, it would have won the Oscar too.
