5/10. Entertaining and it can be fun, but it's pretty mediocre in every other aspect.

I remember watching this on television long ago, but I hardly recall a thing about it, so I'll have to abstain from voting.

6/10 after having seen it twice, first from VHS and later on cinema screen. I wish that I would like this more, since it has so many good ideas and very nice set designs. However the story goes downhill after 40 minutes or so and there's too much running around and overlong scenes with puppets fighting each other. Bowie and Connelly are both good in their roles.

Watched it with the worst possible ideas what it possibly could be, David Bowie and The Muppets. I have a feeling that it came out at the wrong time, this kind of movies were not "in" at the time. Not bad for what it is!

I think my last re-watch a few years ago now, first since childhood, was one of those pov altering viewings. As a kid I was kinda terrified of Bowie's character because he was so effortless, which made him scary in a Wizard of Oz'ish way. As an adult, I see that he wasn't really a villain so much as a bit straddling towards a darker side, though guiding the girl a bit all the same.

7/10. David Bowie and Jennifer Connelly were great in their roles and I have always admired what Jim Henson and his team did to push the boundaries of puppetry, but it had an unfocused storyline. I still like Bowie's songs for the film.

The whole is greater than the sum of its parts. It's a 7/10 movie that deserves an 8/10 for having David Bowie, JC, and muppets, all in one outlandish movie.
