The Thomas the Tank Engine scene was hilarious, it was probably the best scene in that movie and one of the funniest MCU scenes in general. But yeah this does seem like it's trying to replicate that same gag. It's no dumber than a Batarang. Lol ehhh yeah it kinda is. A batarang is just a sharp piece of metal like a shuriken, a bit different from throwing an enlarged girls candy dispenser at someone. |

Part of the fun of Ant Man/Wasp turning small things huge is the ridiculousness of how they look when big.
Granted a Pez dispenser is a bit of an over the top choice. Something more mundane, like a pencil or quarter, couldve had the same effect without feeling like it was trying too hard to get a laugh.
Personally I would've had her throw a candy bar. A giant butterfinger would've been a funnier image.
