Because from the trailer I see no signs that Infinity War had already come and gone. So it makes me think that although the movie itself will be released after Infinity War, the timeline of the movie might happen before Infinity War.

I have a feeling it will be set just before Infinity War

Possibly. Since Homecoming, it's been off anyway.

Possibly. Since Homecoming, it's been off anyway. It seems to be the consensus online...as with First Avenger and Captain Marvel, Ant Man & Wasp may be a "flashback" movie. See no real problem with that. A couple of films out of the timeline in between the next 2 Avengers films is better than no films in between them. Despite loving the first movie I think Ant Man will, like Hulk, be more popular when he pops up in other movies - the surprise appearance of Giant Man in Civil War is still one of my fave Marvel surprises - if he has some prime moments in Infinity War I can't see it doing AM&W prospects any harm. Though personally, despite appearing on Wiki & IMDB cast lists, I am not 100% confident he will be in Infinity War. Other than the Vanity Fair photoshoot (which features Nick Fury who apparentley is not in IW) Rudd seems to be absent from any on set photos and cast gatherings.
