The car accident? Or some other reason? Fonda worked nonstop for 11 straight years. She may have just burned out. Shes only 54 so it's never too late for a comeback.

I googled it and could not find any clear answers to why she retired. I mean the most likely reason seem to be the car crash in 2003 where she fractured her vertebrae.
But yeah she was one of my favorite actresses of the 90s. I would like to see her return.

I think she just wanted a break at the time but then she just decided "oh this is so much better than working".
